Anita has been practicing law in the Pacific Northwest since 1987 when she relocated to the area from her home state of Arizona. She received a Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in 1986 and a Bachelor of Arts in English/secondary education from the University of Arizona in 1981.
In addition to maintaining a solo legal practice with an emphasis on Native American and Tribal law, Anita has also provided judicial services to several federally recognized Tribes since 2004. She is currently honored to serve as Chief Judge for the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Court, Quileute Tribal Court, Shoalwater Bay Tribal Court, and Snoqualmie Tribal Court. She is also the Family Court Judge for the Squaxin Island Tribe and a judge pro tem for various other Tribes.
Anita is a strong believer in alternative dispute resolution and offers skilled mediation and arbitration services for individuals, organizations, and government agencies.
In her spare time, Anita enjoys vacationing in tropical locations with her two adult daughters and taking long walks in the forest with her Yorkie and poodle--"Little Bear" and "Coyote."
